Surface-plasmon-polariton-driven narrow-linewidth magneto-optics in Ni nanodisk arrays
The field of magnetoplasmonics exploits interactions between light and magnetic matter at the nanoscale for light manipulation and resonant magneto-optics. One of the great challenges of this field is overcoming optical losses in magnetic metals.

Magneto-optical response in bimetallic metamaterials
We demonstrate resonant Faraday polarization rotation in plasmonic arrays of bimetallic nano-ring resonators consisting of Au and Ni sections. This metamaterial design allows the optimization of the trade-off between the enhancement of magneto-optical ...

Hybrid Ni/SiO2/Au dimer arrays for high-resolution refractive index sensing
We introduce a novel magnetoplasmonic sensor concept for sensitive detection of refractive index changes. The sensor consists of a periodic array of Ni/SiO2/Au dimer nanodisks.

Band structures of edge magnetoplasmon crystals [PDF]
A two-dimensional electron gas in a static external magnetic field exhibits two distinct collective excitation modes. The lower frequency mode propagates along the periphery of the domain almost freely with an extended lifetime, which is referred to as edge magnetoplasmons.

Magnetoplasmonic Quasicrystals
Nanostructured magneto-optical materials sustaining optical resonances open very efficient way for light control via magnetic field, which is of prime importance for telecommunication and sensing applications. However, usually their response is narrowband due to its resonance character.

Tumor‐tropic human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) were used as delivery vehicles for magnetotheranostic gold–iron oxide nanoflowers. Magnetic particle imaging of the iron component demonstrated widespread intratumoral distribution and sustained retention in contrast to injection of naked nanoflowers.
