A Novel MRE Adaptive Seismic Isolator Using Curvelet Transform Identification

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Magnetorheological elastomeric (MRE) material is a novel type of material that can adaptively change the rheological property rapidly, continuously, and reversibly when subjected to real-time external magnetic field.

Simulation of Magnetodielectric Effect in Magnetorheological Elastomers [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2019
We present the results of numerical simulation of magnetodielectric effect (MDE) in magnetorheological elastomers (MRE)—the change of effective permittivity of elastomer placed under the external magnetic field. The computer model of effect is based on an assumption about the displacement of magnetic particles inside the elastic matrix under the ...

Magnetorheological Elastomers: Fabrication, Characteristics, and Applications [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials, 2020
Magnetorheological (MR) elastomers become one of the most powerful smart and advanced materials that can be tuned reversibly, finely, and quickly in terms of their mechanical and viscoelastic properties by an input magnetic field. They are composite materials in which magnetizable particles are dispersed in solid base elastomers.

Developing adjustable stiffness for smart material of magnetorheological elastomer to diminish vibration

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah SINERGI, 2023
Many vibration isolators, such as passive vehicle mounting devices, have an inflexible stiffness. This article presents the development of a smart material vibration isolator based on magnetorheological elastomer (MRE), which has adjustable stiffness to ...

A dual adaptive tunable vibration absorber using MREs for vehicle powertrain vibration control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper presents a dual Adaptive Tuned Vibration Absorber (ATVA) using a magnetorheological elastomer (MRE) for powertrain torsional vibration control. The MRE used in this device is a soft MRE with a significant MR effect.

Magnetic training of the soft magnetorheological elastomers

open access: yesJournal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2023
The effect of repetitive quasi-static magnetisation of a magnetorheological elastomer on its magnetic response is discussed. Typical components of this material, namely soft silicone rubber and carbonyl iron powder, are used to produce magnetically sensitive composite samples. The composite specimens are examined by vibrating sample magnetometry.
