Magnetorheological materials based on ethylene-octene elastomer
Magnetorheological elastomer composites based on several magnetoactive fillers such as: carbonyl iron powder, gamma iron oxide, microand nano-sized Fe3O4 in ethylene-octene elastomer are reported and studied. To improve the dispersion of the applied fillers in a polymer matrix, ionic liquids were added during the process of composite preparation.

Novel adaptive damping systems based on magnetorheological fluids
S.86-95Adaptive damping systems based on magnetorheological (MR) fluids allow the continuous control of vibration damping forces depending on the current conditions. In magnetorheological dampers known so far, the magnetic field for the control of the MR

A novel nickel nanowire based magnetorheological material
The aim of this work is to fabricate and investigate nickel nanowires (NiNWs) as a novel magnetorheological material and determine how the aspect ratio of these magnetic particles influences its magnetic properties. The latest methods for synthesizing NiNWs and nickel nanospheres (NiNSs) are presented and the corresponding magnetorheological fluids ...

Oxidation of Natural Rubber based Magnetorheological Elastomers
The Theological properties of magnetorheological (MR) materials can be changed continuously, rapidly and reversibly by an applied magnetic field. Solid MR materials consist of magnetically polarisable particles, generally iron, in an elastomer matrix ...
