Magnetostriction of iron-germanium single crystals

open access: yes, 2008
The addition of nonmagnetic Ga into body-centered cubic Fe enhances the magnetostriction constant λ100 over tenfold. Literature reports for substitution of Ge at low concentrations suggest that the addition of Ge also enhances the magnetostriction.

Local magnetostriction measurement in a cobalt thin film using scanning probe microscopy

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
The local magnetostriction measurement has become an emerging issue because strain-mediated nanocomposites have received considerable attention due to their potential applications for high sensitivity sensors and high density energy harvesters.

Low temperature magnetostriction of amorphous Fe85B15 ribbons

open access: yes, 1998
In this work we present measurements of the low temperature behavior of the magnetostriction of amorphous Fe85B15 samples that were produced by planar flow casting. For these low temperature measurements we developed a new system in order to characterize

Synthesis and magnetostrictive properties of Pr1−xDyx(Fe0.8Co0.2)1.93 cubic Laves compounds

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2016
The structure, magnetic properties and magnetostriction of high-pressure synthesized Pr1−xDyx(Fe0.8Co0.2)1.93 compounds were investigated. These compounds, which could not be readily synthesized under ambient pressure, exhibit single cubic Laves phase ...

Saturation Magnetostriction and Volume Magnetostriction of Amorphous Ribbons Based on Fe-Ni and Fe-Co

open access: yes, 2010
application/pdfThe saturation magnetostriction and the forced volume magnetostriction of Fe-Ni and Fe-Co amorphous ribbons were measured from 77°K to room temperature by a three terminal capacitance method.

Magnetostriction of nanocrystalline Fe66Cr8Cu1Nb3Si13B9 alloy

open access: yes, 1995
The influence of the nanocrystalline fraction on the saturation magnetostriction of Fe66Cr8Cu1Nb3Si13B9 alloy has been investigated. The nanocrystallization process in the ribbon was carried out by current annealing.

MAGNETOSTRICTION OF THE MIXED SERIES Fe3-xTixO4

open access: yes, 1977
La magnétostriction du système Fe3-xTixO4 a été mesurée de 77 à 300 K. Les coefficients de magnétostriction λ111 et λ100 sont augmentés fortement par la présence des ions Fe2+ sur les sites tétraédriques.

Composition anisotropy compensation and magnetostriction of Co-doped Laves compounds Tb0.2Dy0.8-xPrxFe1.93 (0 <= x <= 0.40)

open access: yes, 2018
Alloys of Tb0.2Dy0.8-xPrx(Fe0.8Co0.2)(1.93) (0 to axis when x increases from 0 to 0.40. The linear anisotropic magnetostriction lambda(a)(=lambda(parallel to)-lambda(perpendicular to)) increases with increasing Pr content when x < 0.25 ascribed to both

Magnetostriction of polycrystalline Fe-Ge alloys

open access: yes, 2009
The longitudinal and transverse magnetostriction and microstructure of polycrystalline Fe(100-x)Ge(x) (x= 8, 12, 15, 20) alloys were investigated in order to correlate the magnetostriction with microstructure. In order to obtain different microstructures

Giant magnetostriction and magnetostriction jumps in superconducting single crystalline La1.85Sr0.15CuO4

open access: yes
We have studied magnetostriction in single crystalline La1.85Sr0.15CuO4 using the strain gauge technique in magnetic fields up to 12 T at temperatures 4.2 K < T < 35 K.
