Magnetostriction Measurement of Giant Magnetoresistance Films on the Practical Substrates by using Inverse-magnetostriction Effect

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
After forming electric devices, a magnetostriction effect sometimes deteriorates the sensitivity of sensors such as read heads of hard disk devices, or the bit stability of memories such as magnetic random access memories through the inverse ...

Dependence of the noise of an orthogonal fluxgate on the composition of its amorphous wire-core

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
In this paper we study the effect of magnetostriction of Co-rich amorphous microwire to the noise of the orthogonal fluxgates based on such wires. The magnetostriction was modified by changing the relative amount of iron x with the respect of the total ...

New elements within finite element modeling of magnetostriction phenomenon in BLDC motor

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2020
Reluctance forces are the main cause of vibration in electrical machines. The influence of magnetostriction is still the matter of controversy. In the article, program Ansys (typical for finite element method) was used to analyze stator deformation due ...

Magnetostrictive deformation of a transformer: a comparison between calculation and measurement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Magnetostriction, which refers to the deformation of the core material of transformers and electrical machines, is a main contributor to the total noise.

Magnetomechanical performance of directionally solidified Fe-Ga alloys [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Iron-gallium alloys can produce magnetostrictions of ~400 ppm and might serve as mechanically robust actuator/sensing materials. However, for polycrystalline Fe-Ga alloys, the magnetostrictive performance decreases with the increasing deviations from the

Multiscale modeling of a low magnetostrictive Fe-27wt%Co-0.5wt%Cr alloy

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2018
The present paper deals with the improvement of a multi-scale approach describing the magneto-mechanical coupling of Fe-27wt%Co-0.5wt%Cr alloy. The magnetostriction behavior is demonstrated as very different (low magnetostriction vs.

Universal signatures of the metamagnetic quantum critical endpoint: Application to CeRu2Si2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A quantum critical endpoint related to a metamagnetic transition causes distinct signatures in the thermodynamic quantities of a compound. We argue that, irrespective of the microscopic details of the considered material, the diverging differential ...

Giant forced magnetostriction in Tb0.2Gd0.8 single crystal

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
The results of investigation of the Tb0.2Gd0.8 single crystal forced magnetostriction are presented. Temperature dependences of magnetostriction have been measured from 4 to 300°K in applied magnetic fields up to 14 T.

MAGNETOSTRICTION OF GIANT MAGNETOSTRICTIVE THIN FILMS

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Science, 1993
Magnetostriction of differently prepared TbFe2 and (Tb0.7Dy0.3) Fe2 thin films were measured using both a strain gauge and a beam bending method. Magnetostrictions up to 2⋅10-4 were found. Sputtered films showed a small hysteresis compared with ion plated films.

A universal platform for magnetostriction measurements in thin films

open access: yes, 2015
We present a universal nanomechanical sensing platform for the investigation of magnetostriction in thin films. It is based on a doubly-clamped silicon nitride nanobeam resonator covered with a thin magnetostrictive film.
