MAGNETOSTRICTION OF GIANT MAGNETOSTRICTIVE THIN FILMS
Magnetostriction of differently prepared TbFe2 and (Tb0.7Dy0.3) Fe2 thin films were measured using both a strain gauge and a beam bending method. Magnetostrictions up to 2⋅10-4 were found. Sputtered films showed a small hysteresis compared with ion plated films.

Dependence of the noise of an orthogonal fluxgate on the composition of its amorphous wire-core
In this paper we study the effect of magnetostriction of Co-rich amorphous microwire to the noise of the orthogonal fluxgates based on such wires. The magnetostriction was modified by changing the relative amount of iron x with the respect of the total ...

New elements within finite element modeling of magnetostriction phenomenon in BLDC motor
Reluctance forces are the main cause of vibration in electrical machines. The influence of magnetostriction is still the matter of controversy. In the article, program Ansys (typical for finite element method) was used to analyze stator deformation due ...

A new magneto-mechanical coupling model was proposed for ferromagnetic materials under applied stress and in magnetic fields. The proposed model is based on the thermodynamic theory of ferromagnetic materials and Jiles–Atherton–Sablic (J–A–S) theory with

Multiscale modeling of a low magnetostrictive Fe-27wt%Co-0.5wt%Cr alloy
The present paper deals with the improvement of a multi-scale approach describing the magneto-mechanical coupling of Fe-27wt%Co-0.5wt%Cr alloy. The magnetostriction behavior is demonstrated as very different (low magnetostriction vs.

Giant forced magnetostriction in Tb0.2Gd0.8 single crystal
The results of investigation of the Tb0.2Gd0.8 single crystal forced magnetostriction are presented. Temperature dependences of magnetostriction have been measured from 4 to 300°K in applied magnetic fields up to 14 T.

Magnetostriction Vibration and Acoustic Noise in Motor Stator Cores
This study focuses on the impact of magnetostriction on vibration and acoustic noise emitted from motor stator cores. Typically, motor vibration and acoustic noise are attributed to radial electromagnetic forces, torque ripple, and pulse-width modulation

Tuning magnetostriction of Fe–Ga alloys via stress engineering
Stress has a strong impact on the magnetization and magnetostriction of magnetic materials due to the magneto-elastic coupling. It offers a clue to understand the 2–5 times enhancement on the magnetostriction of Fe–Ga alloys with rare-earth elements ...
