CrAlN coating to enhance the power loss and magnetostriction in grain oriented electrical steel

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2016
Grain oriented electrical steels (GOES) are coated with aluminium orthophosphate on top of a forsterite (Mg2SiO4) layer to provide stress and insulation resistance to reduce the power loss and magnetostriction.

Tunable Negative Thermal Expansion in Fe/Cr‐Substituted Nd2Co17 Compounds via Magnetoelastic Coupling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study achieves anisotropic thermal expansion tuning in Nd2(Co1‐xFex)17‐yCry compounds via a magnetoelastic strategy. Variable‐temperature synchrotron X‐ray diffraction reveals that increased Fe content induces switchable lattice responses. Compositional control reduces the volume expansion coefficient αV by 20% (x═0.7) and modulates TC (442–625 K),

Gate Enhancing Charge‐Spin Conversion in Organic Chiral Field Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Room‐temperature organic chiral multiferroic field effect transistors are demonstrated, enabling bidirectional control between spin and charge. Specifically, spin polarization affects the ferroelectric polarization, and ferroelectric polarization, in turn, can modulate spin polarization and spin‐dependent transport.
