Study on the magnetic viscosity of multi-step magnetized heterogeneous alloys

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2023
The multi-step magnetization behavior caused by a variety of microstructures is common in magnetic materials. The study of the effect of heterogeneous structure magnetization behavior on magnetic viscosity provides extensive guidance for the long-term ...

MnBi thin films for high temperature permanent magnet applications

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
Thin films of ferromagnetic LTP-MnBi (Low Temperature Phase of MnBi) have been grown by magnetron sputtering onto quartz substrates. Two particular issues related to LTP-MnBi have been investigated: the strong influence of the growth temperature and the ...

Magnetizing of permanent magnets using HTS bulk magnets

open access: yesCryogenics, 2011
A demagnetized Nd-Fe-B permanent magnet was scanned just above the magnetic pole containing the HTS bulk magnet, generating a magnetic field of 3.27 T. The magnet sample was subsequently found to be fully magnetized in the open space of the static magnetic fields.

Magnetic field annihilators: invisible magnetization at the magnetic equator [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Journal International, 2003
SUMMARY Some distributions of magnetization give rise to magnetic fields that vanish everywhere above the surface, rendering these distributions of magnetization completely invisible. They are the annihilators of the magnetic inverse problem. Known examples are the infinite sheet with constant magnetization and the spherical shell of constant ...

Upscaling of Permanent Magnet Dismantling and Recycling through VALOMAG Project

open access: yesMaterials Proceedings, 2021
Neodymium-Iron-Boron (NdFeB) based permanent magnets are indispensable in today’s technology-driven society. Moreover, their use is likely to increase since they are key in clean energy applications such as wind turbines, hybrid/electric vehicles, and ...

Case presentation of two maxillectomy patients restored with two-piece hollow bulb obturator retained using two different types of magnets

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences, 2017
Palatal defect can be repaired by reconstructive surgery and/or a dental prosthesis. We present prosthodontic rehabilitation of two partially edentulous patients, both with surgically induced palatal defect and explains how to achieve the goal for ...

Recovery of Rare Earth Elements from Spent NdFeB-Magnets: Separation of Iron through Reductive Smelting of the Oxidized Material (Second Part)

open access: yesMetals, 2022
This paper proposes a pyrometallurgical recycling method for end-of-life NdFeB magnets by oxidizing them in air and subsequently smelting them. The smelting process enabled the recovery of rare earth elements (REEs), producing a new reach concentrate ...
