Sensitivity Analysis of Deflection Variation of the Cable-Stayed Bridge to the Cable Damage

open access: yesBuildings, 2023
In the context of a single-tower cable-stayed bridge, the effects of the ambient temperature change, stiffness degradation of the main beam and cable damage on the deflection of the main girder under the action of self-weight are investigated. To explore

Application and Practice of Replaceable Main Cable Strand Anchorage Scheme in Self-Anchored Suspension Bridges [PDF]

open access: yes预应力技术
The main cable strands of self-anchored suspension bridges are typically anchored directly to the back of concrete or steel girders, a construction method that has durability issues.

Ligand‐dependent transcriptional heterogeneity in cell cycle gene expression delays G1/S entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
EGF and HRG induce distinct G1/S progression programs in ErbB2‐amplified BT474 breast cancer cells. Despite activating the potent ErbB2–ErbB3 heterodimer, HRG does not accelerate cell‐cycle entry. Instead, EGF promotes earlier restriction‐point passage via ERK–FOS signaling, whereas HRG activates the AKT–MYC axis, driving transcriptional heterogeneity ...

Analysis of Influence of Cable Clamp Slippage on Internal Force and Alignment of Main Cable

open access: yesZhongwai Gonglu
To investigate the influence of cable clamp slippage on alignment and internal force of the main cable, a theoretical analysis method based on node coordinates of the main cable after cable clamp slippage was proposed in this paper.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Hyperactive ice‐binding proteins stabilize cell membranes and improve resistance to dehydration stress in Caenorhabditis elegans

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.
