Abstract Large language models (LLMs) offer scalable alternatives to human experts when analyzing political texts for meaning, using natural language understanding (NLU). Qualitative NLU methods relying on human experts are severely limited by cost and scalability.

Evaluation of a Rat Cardiopulmonary Bypass Model Using an Extraluminal Flow Oxygenator

A rat cardiopulmonary bypass model was constructed incorporating the developed extraluminal flow oxygenator and compared with a commercial intraluminal flow oxygenator. Both oxygenators demonstrated comparable gas exchange performance and inflammatory responses; however, the one developed in this study better preserved PLT counts.

Pregnancy‐Related Risk and Birth Setting Trends: Insights From Indonesian Demographic Health Survey Data

New analysis from 15 years of Indonesian Demographic Health Survey Data has identified a shift from home birth to hospital birth. However, 65% of women who gave birth in hospital had no risk factors, while 13% of women who gave birth at home did report pregnancy‐related risk factors.
