DJ Culture in the Commercial Sydney Dance Music Scene

open access: yesDancecult: Journal of Electronic Dance Music Culture, 2009
The development of contemporary, post-disco dance music and its associated culture, as representative of a (supposedly) underground, radical subculture, has been given extensive consideration within popular music studies. Significantly less attention has

Thinking differently about strategy: comparing paradigms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Our paper shows that mainstream strategic thinking and research already challenges the established Newtonian-Cartesian paradigm. Newtonian thought is the customary mode of western thinking, but is that about to change?

Efficient and Scalable Electrochemical Energy Systems via Peroxide‐Mediated Redox Chemistry

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We outline reaction mechanisms and catalyst strategies that enable efficient, reversible O2 ⇌ HO2– chemistry. Peroxide‐mediated pathways offer an alternative to the conventional 4e–/O2 route, improving round‐trip energy efficiency in rechargeable zinc–air batteries and supporting scalable hydrogen production without external storage or transportation ...

Biomimetic Multiscale‐Structured Biomass Graphene/Polyurethane Sponge Composite for Flexible Pressure Sensors and Intelligent Cushioning Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, a multifunctional conductive sponge composite (MAPU) is developed using a biomimetic, hierarchical construction strategy emulating the growth process of natural wood. This approach involved integrating biomass‐derived graphitic nanoflakes, synthesized from luffa vine (LVGN), into a polyurethane (PU) sponge matrix.

Real‐Time High‐Definition Hyperspectral Endoscopy via Spatial‐Temporal Low‐Frequency‐Stochastic Spectral Encoding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A real‐time, high‐definition hyperspectral endoscopy is enabled by developing a spatial‐temporal spectral encoding approach based on low‐frequency stochastic filters combined with an encoding‐guided attention network. It provides hyperspectral image of in vivo tissue with fine superficial features, enables visualization of rapid and subtle ...

Generating Dynamic Structures Through Physics‐Based Sampling of Predicted Inter‐Residue Geometries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
While static structure prediction has been revolutionized, modeling protein dynamics remains elusive. trRosettaX2‐Dynamics is presented to address this challenge. This framework leverages a Transformer‐based network to predict inter‐residue geometric constraints, guiding conformation generation via physics‐based iterative sampling. The resulting method
