From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Measuring Maintainability Index of a Software Depending on Line of Code Only
Maintainability Index (MI) has been proposed to calculate a single number that expresses the maintainability of a system. MI is calculated as a factored formula consisting of Lines of Code (LOC), Cyclomatic Complexity (CC)and Halstead Volume (HV). In this paper, we present a new method to find MI with respect to LOC only.

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

We investigate whether Large Language Models (LLMs) can refine the given codebase of an optimization algorithm without requiring specialized user expertise. This is in contrast to works that study optimization algorithm code generation from scratch.

Strategies for maintaining the health of students with different body mass index
Background. The main focus in maintaining health is on harmonizing lifestyle. Students with different body weights may have differences in physical activity, nutrition, daily routine, and sleep quality. Identifying negative lifestyle trends will help eliminate them and improve health. Purpose. To identify risk factors of the lifestyle of students with

Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.
