Pembrolizumab‐Induced Subacute Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus: A Case Report

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE) is an increasingly recognized cutaneous immune‐related adverse event of immune checkpoint inhibitors. We report an 83‐year‐old woman who developed pruritic annular and polycyclic plaques 10 weeks after starting pembrolizumab for oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma.

The Association Between Stress‐Induced Hyperglycemia Ratio and Increased Urinary Albumin Excretion in Patients With Hypertension: A Population‐Based Study

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The stress hyperglycemia ratio (SHR), a novel marker reflecting relative hyperglycemia, has been increasingly recognized for its prognostic value in cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. However, its association with early renal damage in hypertensive patients remains underexplored.

Autologous minimally manipulated adipose‐derived stromal vascular fraction in knee osteoarthritis: Lasting symptom relief and imaging evidence from a 12‐month prospective study

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To evaluate the safety and efficacy of intra‐articular autologous transplantation of adipose‐derived connective tissue micrografts rich in stromal vascular fraction (CTM‐SVF), obtained using an enzyme‐free system (Hy‐Tissue® SVF) for knee osteoarthritis (OA). Methods Thirty patients (mean age of 53.3 ± 6.4 years) with Kellgren–Lawrence

Quadriceps tendon autograft is not inferior to bone‐patellar tendon‐bone or hamstring autograft in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction in terms of subjective patient‐reported outcomes: Two‐year results of a multicenter randomised controlled study

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To evaluate the effectiveness of quadriceps tendon (QT) compared to bone‐patellar tendon‐bone (BPTB) and hamstring tendon (HT) autografts in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) regarding patient‐reported outcomes 2 years postoperatively.

Clopidogrel and Aspirin Resistance and Its Interaction with Peripheral Arterial Disease Outcomes in the Indian Population

open access: yesIndian Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
Objectives: The objective of the study was to ascertain adverse events (major adverse cardiac and limb events) events in patients of established peripheral arterial disease (PAD), on clopidogrel and aspirin antiplatelet therapy.

Nutrition and rehabilitation after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: A systematic review

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose As the impact of nutrition on rehabilitation and return to sport (RTS) after ACL reconstruction (ACLR) remains largely unexplored, this review aimed to review the current evidence on the role of nutrition in rehabilitation outcomes for ACLR patients, with as ultimate goal a safer and more successful RTS.

Prior anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: Comparable outcomes but reduced knee flexion after robotic functionally aligned total knee arthroplasty

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) is technically demanding and has been associated with higher complication rates. This study aimed to evaluate whether patients with prior ACLR undergoing image‐based robotic‐assisted TKA performed under functional alignment (FA) principles achieve ...

Laryngeal Cryotherapy for Neurogenic Cough: Safety, Feasibility, and Prospective Outcomes

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
A prospective clinical trial investigated the safety and clinical outcomes of office‐based selective laryngeal cryotherapy for patients with refractory chronic cough. Patient were followed for 6 months posttreatment and had durable improvement in cough severity index and urge‐to‐cough scores and no serious long term adverse effects.

Surfactant protein-D is an independent predictor of all-cause mortality in men with peripheral artery disease diagnosed by population-based screening

open access: yesFrontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine
IntroductionPeripheral artery disease (PAD) is a common condition caused by atherosclerosis, which leads to reduced blood flow to the limbs. PAD is associated with major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) and major adverse limb events (MALE ...

Assessment of Accuracy of Pedal Acceleration Time in Surveillance of Limb Salvage and Prediction of Major Adverse Limb Events in Patients Undergoing Infrainguinal Revascularization for Chronic Limb-Threatening Ischemia

open access: yesIndian Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery
Chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI) monitoring relies on the ankle–brachial index (ABI), which is often unreliable in patients with noncompressible vessels.
