Systematic Analysis of Majorization in Quantum Algorithms [PDF]
Motivated by the need to uncover some underlying mathematical structure of optimal quantum computation, we carry out a systematic analysis of a wide variety of quantum algorithms from the majorization theory point of view.

Operational axioms for diagonalizing states [PDF]
In quantum theory every state can be diagonalized, i.e. decomposed as a convex combination of perfectly distinguishable pure states. This elementary structure plays an ubiquitous role in quantum mechanics, quantum information theory, and quantum ...

Majorization in Information Theory [PDF]
In this paper, we give the generalized results for majorization inequality in integral form by using Csisz ́ar f -divergence. We show how the Shannon entropy is connected to the theory of majorization. We also give Shannon entropy and the Kullback-Leibler divergence for obtained results.

The Majorization Arrow in Quantum Algorithm Design [PDF]
We apply majorization theory to study the quantum algorithms known so far and find that there is a majorization principle underlying the way they operate. Grover's algorithm is a neat instance of this principle where majorization works step by step until

Generalizations of Sherman’s inequality by Lidstone’s interpolating polynomial
In majorization theory, the well-known majorization theorem plays a very important role. A more general result was obtained by Sherman. In this paper, concerning 2n-convex functions, we get generalizations of these results applying Lidstone’s ...

New Majorized Fractional Simpson Estimates
Fractional calculus has been a concept used to acquire new variants of some well-known integral inequalities. In this study, our primary goal is to develop majorized fractional Simpson’s type estimates by employing a differentiable function.

Majorization preservation of Gaussian bosonic channels
It is shown that phase-insensitive Gaussian bosonic channels are majorization-preserving over the set of passive states of the harmonic oscillator. This means that comparable passive states under majorization are transformed into equally comparable ...

Sequences of resource monotones from modular Hamiltonian polynomials
We introduce two infinite sequences of entanglement monotones, which are constructed from expectation values of polynomials in the modular Hamiltonian.

Estimations of divergence measures for majorization inequalities via Peano’s representation of Hermite’s polynomial [PDF]
PurposeIn this paper applications to information theory are presented. Generalized majorization theorem is presented in term of different entropies and divergences. So that obtained results are generalized and comprehensive.Design/methodology/approachThe
