A generalization of majorization that characterizes Shannon entropy
We introduce a binary relation on the finite discrete probability distributions which generalizes notions of majorization that have been studied in quantum information theory.

Aliasing and oblique dual pair designs for consistent sampling [PDF]
In this paper we study some aspects of oblique duality between finite sequences of vectors $\cF$ and $\cG$ lying in finite dimensional subspaces $\cW$ and $\cV$, respectively.

ABSTRACT The pediatric hematology‐oncology fellowship training curriculum has not substantially changed since its inception. The first year of training is clinically focused, and the second and third years are devoted to scholarship. However, this current structure leaves many fellows less competitive in the current job market, resulting in ...

Psychosocial Outcomes in Patients With Endocrine Tumor Syndromes: A Systematic Review
ABSTRACT Introduction The combination of disease manifestations, the familial burden, and varying penetrance of endocrine tumor syndromes (ETSs) is unique. This review aimed to portray and summarize available data on psychosocial outcomes in patients with ETSs and explore gaps and opportunities for future research and care.

Bounded Rational Decision-Making from Elementary Computations That Reduce Uncertainty
In its most basic form, decision-making can be viewed as a computational process that progressively eliminates alternatives, thereby reducing uncertainty.

Quantum Relative Lorenz Curves [PDF]
The theory of majorization and its variants, including thermomajorization, have been found to play a central role in the formulation of many physical resource theories, ranging from entanglement theory to quantum thermodynamics.

ABSTRACT Introduction We developed MedSupport, a multilevel medication adherence intervention designed to address root barriers to medication adherence. This study sought to explore the feasibility and acceptability of the MedSupport intervention strategies to support a future full‐scale randomized controlled trial.

Generalized Finite Algorithms for Constructing Hermitian Matrices with Prescribed Diagonal and Spectrum [PDF]
In this paper, we present new algorithms that can replace the diagonal entries of a Hermitian matrix by any set of diagonal entries that majorize the original set without altering the eigenvalues of the matrix.

Stanley’s major contributions to Ehrhart theory [PDF]
This expository paper features a few highlights of Richard Stanley's extensive work in Ehrhart theory, the study of integer-point enumeration in rational polyhedra. We include results from the recent literature building on Stanley's work, as well as several open problems.
