Picosecond recovery dynamics of malachite green

Chemical Physics Letters, 1976
Abstract Using sub-picosecond pulses from a mode-locked cw dye laser we have studied ultra-fast absorption recovery in the triphenylmethane dye malachite green after excitation to the first singlet. In methanol an exponential time constant of 2.1 ps is measured.
