Bejel in Malatya, Turkey

Bejel is a form of endemic syphilis which is transmitted by non-venereal route. According to our knowledge, no cases of bejel have been reported from Turkey for more than 30 years. In this report, three children and their father who suffer from bejel are presented.

Orduzu Göleti (Malatya) Zooplanktonu

In this study, zooplankton fauna of Orduzu Lake were investigated. Samplings were taken montly form 4 different stations between April 2011 and May 2012. Temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen of lake water were determined in situ. In the study totally 47 zooplankton species were recorded. 35 rotifera species belonging to 15 families, 9 Cladocera species
