Sustainable Solid Polymer Electrolytes Based on NaCMC‐PVA Blends for Energy Storage Applications: Electrical and Electrochemical Insights with Application to Electric Double‐Layer Capacitors

open access: yesEnergy Technology, EarlyView.
A novel biopolymer electrolyte using sodium carboxymethyl cellulose/polyvinyl alcohol and NaPF6 enhances ionic conductivity and electrochemical stability for electric double‐layer capacitors. Conductivity peaks at 35 wt% salt before declining due to ion clustering. Structural and electrochemical analyses confirm promising device performance.

Assessing Computational Complexity in Selecting Periods for LMDI Techniques in Energy‐Related Carbon Dioxide Emissions: An Alternative Approach

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index (LMDI) decomposition analysis is widely employed to examine the drivers behind changes in carbon dioxide emissions related to energy consumption. This analysis has been applied using single‐period, year‐by‐year, and multi‐period time frames worldwide. However, these time frames often overlook trend changes in
