Füllkörperrektifizierkolonnen mit Maldistribution

Chemical Engineering Science, 1966

Lymphocyte Maldistribution and Immunodeficiency

Hospital Practice, 1980
Lymphocytopenias, unlike deficiencies of other blood cells, may not reflect actual reductions in the cell populations. Because of the constant interchange of lymphocytes between the blood and lymphatic circulation, their absence from the blood often reflects sequestration in lymphoid tissues.

Maldistribution in Fluidized Beds

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2002
Experiments on maldistribution were performed using a 289 mm diameter air−sand fluidized bed with a multiorifice distributor. The minimum superficial gas velocity (Um) required to eliminate maldistribution was measured; the results were combined with those in the literature and used to evaluate the following rules for maldistribution:  (1) the pressure

Arachidonic acid maldistribution in obesity

Lipids, 1996
AbstractArachidonic acid is an important regulator of cellular function via its effects on the physical properties of membranes, in its free form, or as a substrate for eicosanoids. Dietary studies indicate that its production is regulated, but the mechanisms of this regulation and factors influencing arachidonate distribution from the site of ...

Obstetric Provider Maldistribution: Georgia, USA, 2011

Maternal and Child Health Journal, 2016
Objectives In 2010, Georgia had the nation's highest maternal mortality rate, sixteenth highest infant mortality rate, and a waning obstetrician/gynecologist (ob/gyn) workforce. Statewide ob/gyn workforce data, however, masked obstetric-specific care shortages and regional variation in obstetric services. The Georgia Maternal and Infant Health Research

Specialty Maldistribution The Next Nursing Crisis?

JONA: The Journal of Nursing Administration, 1994
Clinical specialty maldistribution is a problem in the United States due, in part, to ongoing supply and demand problems created by the nursing shortage. Although the extent of difficulty is unclear, predictions of future shortages in some specialties are startling.

Flow maldistribution in heat exchangers

Applied Thermal Engineering, 1999
Based on the study of gross flow maldistribution in an experimental electrical heater, this paper presents the effect of flow nonuniformity on the performance of heat exchangers. First, it is shown that it is much more important to understand maldistributions for electrical heaters than for two-fluid heat exchangers.

Subspecialties and Physician Maldistribution

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1993
To the Editor. —The article by Martini 1 in JAMA contains useful information but conveys an unbalanced perspective concerning the relationship between "specialties" and "specialists." The article concludes by stating that the increase in the number of subspecialties has been responsible for the improper geographical distribution of physicians and has ...
