On Flow Maldistribution in PEMFC Stacks
International Journal of Green Energy, 2011Polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) stacks are widely studied for their own advantages. The flow maldistribution in unit cells may severely influence the fuel cell stack performance, mainly including the uniformity of current density and the voltage.

Maldistribution of fluids in extrudates
Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2009Abstract Solid–liquid pastes featuring high volume fractions of particulates are frequently used in ceramic forming operations. When pastes are used it is important that the particulate distribution remains uniform throughout the body. The stresses imposed during extrusion processing can, however, promote differential flow between the solid and ...

The Geographic Maldistribution of Neurologists
Archives of Neurology, 1985In recent years, evidence has been accumulating that an oversupply of practicing physicians, especially in some specialties, would become more severe during the next decade as those medical students and postgraduate trainees already in the pipeline complete their education and enter practice.

Troubleshooting a Packing Maldistribution Upset
Chemical Engineering Research and Design, 2007Abstract This paper describes troubleshooting poor performance of a packed distillation tower and a condition called ‘upset’ in which rapid heating up occurred near the top of the tower. The investigation combined surface temperature surveys, gamma scans and gamma CAT scans, simulation and a hydraulic analysis.
