Abstract: Male breast cancer (BC) is a rare but clinically significant disease, accounting for approximately 1% of all BC diagnoses. This article examines the unique risk factors, including genetic mutations (such as BRCA2), hormonal influences, and social determinants of health that contribute to the incidence of BC in males.

Current Treatment Options in Oncology, 2003
Treatments for men with breast cancer are based largely on accepted regimens for women with the disease. Surgical treatment of the primary tumor should be a mastectomy. Lymph node assessment can be done by conventional axillary node dissection or, similar to selected women with small primary tumors, by sentinel node dissection.

AbstractBreast cancer in the male is an uncommon disease, occurring less than 1% as often as in females. Because of its rarity, this disease has not been as extensively studied as its female counterpart. Male breast cancer is evaluated and managed in a fashion very similar to that for female breast cancer.

We present the case of a 66‐year‐old XX male who developed breast cancer on the left side at the age of 61. His clinical, endocrinological and cytogenetic features are described. The presence of hypospadias and cancer in the left breast are noteworthy; the latter is very rarely found in Klinefelter syndrome patients.

Male Inflammatory Breast Cancer
Clinical Breast Cancer, 2001A case of a 48-year-old male with an inflammatory breast cancer is used to illustrate this uncommon malignancy. The physical examination of thickening and erythema made the clinical diagnosis. Mammographic findings of increased density in the right breast with coarsened stroma and an underlying mass confirmed the clinical findings.
