Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma of the Hypopharynx
ORL, 2010Malignant fibrous histiocytoma has been the most common soft-tissue sarcoma of late adult life. However, it is relatively uncommon in the head and neck. Furthermore, there has been no report of malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the hypopharynx in the literature. The first case of malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the hypopharynx is presented.

Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma of The Larynx
Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, 1979Fibrous histiocytoma is a rare mesenchymal tumor. The origin is believed to be a pleuripotential cell, histiocytic in type, which can evolve into a facultative fibroblast under certain conditions. A case of a malignant fibrous histiocytoma in the subglottic larynx is reported.

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the limbs
International Orthopaedics, 1993Between June 1985 and May 1990 we treated 12 patients with malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) of the limbs by a combination of wide excision and adjuvant radiotherapy. The Enneking surgical staging was II in 11 cases and III in 1. There were 6 women and 6 men, with an average age of 54 years. The leg was involved in 8 patients and the arm in 4.

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the esophagus
Pathology International, 1996A 78‐year‐old man presented with an esophageal polyp that was confirmed by Immunohistochemistry and electron microscopy to be malignant fibrous histiocytoma. The tumor was comprised of a proliferation of spindle‐shaped cells admixed with bizarre giant cells. These tumor cells were immunoreactive for smooth muscle actin, vimentin, α‐1‐arrti‐chymotrypsin

Malignant fibrous histiocytoma of the pelvis
Gynecologic Oncology, 1988A case of a 33-year-old Caucasian female with a malignant fibrous histiocytoma arising in the left ischiorectal fossa just under the left posterolateral vaginal wall is presented. Transvaginal simple excision of the tumor was followed by 5000 rad external beam whole pelvis irradiation and 6000 rad to the tumor bed.
