Secukinumab in the Treatment of Moderate‐to‐Severe Hidradenitis Suppurativa: Pooled Pharmacokinetics and Safety Results From the SUNSHINE and SUNRISE Phase 3 Studies

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dermatology, Volume 65, Issue 2, Page 289-298, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Secukinumab, a fully human, monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin‐17A, is approved for moderate‐to‐severe HS in adults. This study evaluated pharmacokinetics (PK), high‐sensitivity C‐reactive protein (hsCRP) changes, and safety of secukinumab over 52 weeks in SUNSHINE and SUNRISE Phase 3 trials.

Host‐Guest Inclusion Chemistry From Supramolecular Architecture Enabling Anti‐Biofouling Surfaces for Oesophagus Stents

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 3, 8 January 2026.
A slippery coating with exceptional anti‐biofouling performance is developed using biocompatible materials for oesophagus stents. Host‐guest inclusion complex formation capabilities of FDA‐approved supramolecules, cyclodextrins are exploited, which significantly enhances the stability of the surface.

Engineering Aging: Approaches to Model and Deconstruct Biological Complexity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 1, 2 January 2026.
The macro‐experiences of aging are the result of an accumulation of micro‐changes that occur over time. Abstract The disparity between the global increase in life expectancy and the steady decline in health outcomes with age has been a major driver for developing new ways to research aging.

Gastric Distension Index: A Novel Radiographic Marker Associated With Postoperative Gastric Stasis After Gastrectomy

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, Volume 10, Issue 1, Page 103-112, January 2026.
This study introduces the Hiki Index (HI), a novel radiographic metric based on upright abdominal X‐rays, to objectively assess postoperative gastric dilatation after gastrectomy. The HI demonstrated strong predictive value for gastrointestinal symptoms and the need for therapeutic intervention, offering a practical tool for early detection and ...
