Fathers Are Frightened but May Not Know It: Considering Masculinity and Attachment When Working With Fathers in Family Therapy

open access: yesJournal of Family Theory &Review, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Given the often‐unacknowledged emotional realities in theory and practice around masculinities and fatherhood, working with fathers in family therapy needs ongoing attention.

The galaxy cluster Ysz-Lx and Ysz-M relations from the WMAP 5-yr data

open access: yes, 2010
We use multifrequency matched filters to estimate, in the WMAP 5-year data, the Sunyaev-Zel'dovich (SZ) fluxes of 893 ROSAT NORAS/REFLEX clusters spanning the luminosity range Lx,[0.1-2.4]keV = 2 10^{41} - 3.5 10^{45} erg s^{-1}.

Price Indices Rekindled, 1970s–1990s: Theory and Practice at Cross Purposes?

open access: yesJournal of Economic Surveys, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper revisits the discussions on price indices during a period marked by theoretical advancements and practical challenges in measuring inflation. Index‐number theorists sought to improve accuracy, yet national statistical offices largely maintained established practices due to concerns over data availability, stability, and public trust.

Do robots boost productivity? A quantitative meta‐study

open access: yesJournal of Economic Surveys, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This meta‐study analyzes the productivity effects of industrial robots. More than 1800 estimates from 85 primary studies are collected. The meta‐analytic evidence suggests that robotization has so far provided, at best, a small boost to productivity. There is strong evidence of publication bias in the positive direction.

Design Optimization of a Small-Scale Polygeneration Energy System in Different Climate Zones in Iran

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Design and performance of polygeneration energy systems are highly influenced by several variables, including the climate zone, which can affect the load profile as well as the availability of renewable energy sources. To investigate the effects, in this

Evidence for Intrinsic Redshifts in Normal Spiral Galaxies

open access: yes, 2004
The Tully-Fisher Relationship (TFR) is utilized to identify anomalous redshifts in normal spiral galaxies. Three redshift anomalies are identified in this analysis: (1) Several clusters of galaxies are examined in which late type spirals have significant

Platelet Levels Associated With Bleeding Risk for Dental Interventions: A Systematic Review

open access: yesOral Diseases, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To evaluate evidence in relation to postoperative bleeding in humans aged ≥ 16 with preoperative platelet counts < 50,000/μL, compared to those above, undergoing dental interventions. Methods Quantitative synthesis without meta‐analysis was conducted through an electronic search conducted on Ovid MEDLINE and Embase from 1946 to ...
