One of the greatest drains on the emotional capital of orthopedists in this country is the stress incurred from litigation. The malpractice crisis is by no means over. Although states such as Texas have enacted true meaningful reform, all orthopedic surgeons must face the threat of a malpractice suit, even when no wrongdoing occurred.
