IgE Sensitization Patterns of Mothers and Their Offspring in the First Five Years of Life The CHILD Study

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
The spectrum of allergic sensitization in mothers and their offspring was characterized at ages 1–5 years at an extract‐ and molecular level in a North American birth cohort. Fel d 1 was the primary sensitizer in mothers, followed by Phl p 1. Perennial allergen sensitization (Der f 1, Der p 1) was rare at age one but rose sharply by age five.

Investigating the events that predispose vulnerable and feared self‐concepts in obsessive‐compulsive disorder: A qualitative analysis

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives The feared self‐concept, the self that a person fears they may be or could become, has been increasingly shown to drive the development and maintenance of obsessive‐compulsive disorder (OCD). It is proposed that the feared self develops from a vulnerable self‐concept, which itself is a result of normative self‐concept development ...

Changing climates and environments within the complex Middle to Late Pleistocene fill of an overdeepened valley at Niederweningen, Switzerland

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
Glacially overdeepened valleys in the northern Alpine Foreland preserve Middle to Late Pleistocene sedimentary sequences that may serve as valuable archives for reconstructing past environmental changes in response to shifts in climate. This study presents a multidisciplinary analysis of two sediment cores from the overdeepened Wehntal Valley at ...

Targeted delivery of the CB2 receptor agonist JWH‐133 via VCAM‐1‐functionalised nanoparticles attenuates atherosclerosis and reveals sex‐specific therapeutic outcomes

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Background and Purpose Atherosclerosis, a chronic inflammatory disease characterised by lipid accumulation and endothelial dysfunction, remains a leading cause of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. While cannabinoid 2 (CB2) receptor agonists show therapeutic promise in preclinical studies, their systemic application is hindered by poor ...
