Multiple Intramedullary and Skewer Pin Fixation for Complex Humeral and Femoral Fractures in Cats and Small‐Breed Dogs

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 5, September 2026.
Multiple intramedullary and skewer pin fixation provided satisfactory radiographic healing and functional outcomes in complex humeral and femoral fractures of cats and small‐breed dogs. This technique may represent a practical fixation option in selected clinical cases where conventional fixation methods are technically challenging.

Radiological malunion after ankle fractures in older adults definitions and new thresholds derived from clinical outcome data from the AIM trial

open access: yesBone & Joint Open, 2022
AimsThe rationale for exacting restoration of skeletal anatomy after unstable ankle fracture is to improve outcomes by reducing complications from malunion; however, current definitions of malunion lack confirmatory clinical evidence.MethodsRadiological (

Clamshell and Hemiclamshell Incisions for Complex Intrathoracic Tumors: A Retrospective Analysis of Indications and Outcomes

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 17, Issue 16, August 2026.
This graphical abstract summarizes the indications and outcomes of clamshell and hemiclamshell incisions for the resection of intrathoracic tumors. The study provides an overview of tumor histology and anatomical location according to the incision type used. Despite differences in surgical approach, overall survival, and the incidence of cause‐specific
