Successive Overrelaxation for Mamdani Fuzzy Systems

To design a Mamdani fuzzy system with good generalization ability in high dimensional feature space, a novel learning algorithm based on the structural risk minimization (SRM) inductive principle is presented in this paper. Firstly, the parameter estimation of a Mamdani fuzzy system is converted to a quadratic optimization problem.

Mamdani fuzzy controller on NBV space

By regarding the set of fuzzy membership functions as a subset of normal bounded variation (NBV) space, we show it's compactness in weak topology. We prove also that the Mamdani controller is a continuous functional on the set in the same topology. The results are an extension of Yang et al.
