Takagi-Sugeno Approximation of a Mamdani Fuzzy System

2014
In the present paper we construct a higher order Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy system that approximates a Mamdani fuzzy system, with arbitrary accuracy. The goal of this construction is to reduce the computational complexity of a fuzzy systems considered, also to replace a nonlinear operator by an approximate linear operator.

On the Paradoxical Success of Mamdani’s Minimum-Based Inference

2012
Mamdani’s inference has an incredible success, especially in areas such as decision making and control. Yet, it is well known that it uses a min-based implication that does not verify classical boolean logic requirements. This contribution aims at, in the one hand, exploring Mamdani’s choice from a practical point of view, and in the other hand ...

Conflict typology in Mamdani systems

2003

Ensembles of the Mamdani Fuzzy Systems

2012
This chapter describes a family of fuzzy systems that use neural network like approach for learning and visualizing the system.Models in this chapter have their antecedents and consequents of rules connected by a t-norm. Such systems are called the Mamdani type neuro-fuzzy systems and they are the most common neuro-fuzzy systems. As it is emphasized in
