Interpretation of Aeromagnetic Data over the Nigerian Sector of the Mamfe Basin

open access: yesJournal of Physics & Optics Sciences, 2020
Four Aeromagnetic data over a part of the Nigerian Sector of the Mamfa Basin have been analyzed using qualitative approach and spectral analysis. The aeromagnetic maps, its analytic signal amplitude and geological modelling sketch helped in identifying the nature and depth of the magnetic sources in the study region.

Geochemical constrains for unravelling the condition of sedimentation, provenance, paleoclimate variation, and metallogenic implication of the cretaceous deposits of Mayo Oulo Basin (North Cameroon, Africa)

open access: yesSolid Earth Sciences
The sediments from the Mayo Oulo intracontinental Basin, along the N–S cross section between the Gadavou and Lombel localities in central part of the basin, were investigated through major and trace elements geochemistry associated with palynological ...

Geological mapping using fractal technique

open access: yes, 2007
In this work the use of fractal scaling exponents for geological mapping was first investigated using theoretical models, and results from the analysis showed that the scaling exponents mapped isolated bodies but did not properly resolve bodies close to ...
