The resection of this tissue obeys the same orientation for small, medium, and large hypertrophic breasts.

In the breast reduction technique presented, the nipple and areola are carried on a total breast tissue pedicle elevated from the pectoral fascia. Breast tissues are resected inferior to the areola and from the pectoral aspect of the breast. The residual breast tissues are left in continuity with the nipple.
