Inherited sensitivity to X‐rays in man
BioEssays, 1989AbstractAtaxia‐telangiectasia (A‐T), an inherited disorder giving radiation sensitivity and cancer‐proneness, is discussed in terms of a defect in ability to repair DNA damage. Valuing the man-sievert in X-ray diagnosis
The British Journal of Radiology, 1987New advice from the National Radiological Protection Board gives a range of monetary values for the unit collective dose, depending in part on the annual individual dose. In this paper the special factors in medical radiodiagnosis are described and a valuation for the man-sievert in this field is suggested.
