Dengue Virus Type 4, Manaus, Brazil [PDF]
Emerging Infectious Diseases, 2008 We report dengue virus type 4 (DENV-4) in Amazonas, Brazil. This virus was isolated from serum samples of 3 patients treated at a tropical medicine reference center in Manaus. All 3 cases were confirmed by serologic and molecular tests; 1 patient was co-infected with DENV-3 and DENV-4.

Dry‐Season Water Deficits in the Southwestern Amazon Under High Emissions
International Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.Projected climatic water deficit in the study region indicates a longer and more intense dry season, with delays in the onset of the wet season under higher emission scenarios. These changes, particularly, pronounced under SSP5‐8.5, suggest increased ecological vulnerability and greater seasonal water stress.
