Evidence of Second Canal between Permanent Mandibular Central and Lateral Incisors in China; a Systematic Review on CBCT Studies

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dentistry, 2020
Introduction. Evidence of second canal in permanent mandibular incisors is frequently questioned in dentistry. The difference in evidence between the two teeth is an interesting argument across different countries and ethnicities.

Spatial Transcriptomics of TMJ Reveals a Remodeling Fibroblast‐Immune Microenvironment Driving Arthritis Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Spatial transcriptomics reveals a remodeled fibroblast‐immune microenvironment in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) during arthritis. By combining seqFISH with genetic mouse models, this study uncovers TMJ spatial cell atalas, macrophage‐fibroblast crosstalk, and cytokine signaling pathways driving TMJ inflammation and pain.

Association between the Anatomy of the Mandibular Canal and Facial Types: A Cone-Beam Computed Tomography Analysis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dentistry, 2018
We evaluated the anatomical variations of the mandibular canal associated with various facial types, age, sex, and side of the face studied. We analyzed 348 hemimandibles in subjects without a history of trauma, lesions in the lower arch, or orthognathic

Anatomic Diagram as a Novel Assessment Strategy for Subclinical Local Residual Disease in Sinonasal Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Intestinal‐type Adenocarcinoma

open access: yesInternational Forum of Allergy &Rhinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective In the last two decades, transnasal endoscopic surgery (TES) has become pivotal in the management of sinonasal tumors. This approach involves a multiblock tumor resection, adding complexity to the interpretation of surgical margins after pathological examination.

Attempting to Determine the Relationship of Mandibular Third Molars to the Mandibular Canal on Digital Panoramic Radiography; Using CBCT as Gold Standard

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
(1) Background: It is important to know, radiologically, the relationship of Mandibular third molars (M3) to the mandibular canal to minimize postoperative complications by causing damage to the inferior alveolar vessels and nerve during extraction. This

Trifid mandibular nerve canal

open access: yesJournal of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, 2013
The location and configuration of the mandibular canal are important in surgical procedures involving the mandible. Bifid mandibular canal (BMC) and trifid mandibular canal (TMC) are variations of the normal anatomy. In the literature, occurrence of TMC is much rarer than BMC that only a few cases have been reported. These variations can be detected on

Relationship between Mandibular Nutrient Canals and Hypertension [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of International Medical Research, 2003
This study was undertaken to investigate the correlation between the presence of nutrient canals in the mandibular anterior region and hypertension. Periapical radiographs taken from the mandibular anterior region of 139 normotensive and 76 hypertensive edentulous patients were examined. There was no statistical difference in the incidence of nutrient
