Diversity of Root Canal Morphology in Mandibular First Premolar.

open access: yesKathmandu University medical journal (KUMJ), 2020
Background Mandibular first premolars have been reported to have complex anatomical aberration making them one of the most difficult teeth to manage endodontically. Objective To determine the root canal anatomy of mandibular first premolar in a Nepalese population using decalcification and clearing technique.

Dental Transposition Of Mandibular Canine And First Premolar – The First Case Report

open access: yes, 2014
Dental transposition is a form of ectopic eruption with change in position of normal adjacent teeth. Its prevalence is very low in general population and could be frequently missed on oral examination. We present a rare case of dental transposition between left mandibular canine and first premolar in a 22 year old Libyan male patient.

Esthetic and adhesive properties of a novel colored fiber post: A restorative approach to an endodontic challenge

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Oral Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract Colored fiber posts facilitate clinical retrieval but could impact esthetics and bonding. This study evaluated the color stability and dentin bond strength of a novel colored fiber post designed to facilitate post‐removal. Sixty premolars had root canal therapy and post space preparation.

Estimation of Mandibular Premolar Teeth Length and Mesiodistal Width Based on Panoramic Radiograph [PDF]

open access: yes
Statement of Problem: In diagnostic studies of dentistry, estimation of the mesiodistal width of the unerupted teeth and the required space for their eruption in relation to the space analysis and evaluation of the root-crow ratio is of great importance.
