Endodontic and periodontal treatments of a geminated mandibular first premolar
AbstractAim To describe a rare case of gemination involving a mandibular first premolar.Summary The complex morphology of geminated teeth renders their endodontic and periodontal management difficult. Root canal and periodontal treatments were performed on a geminated mandibular first premolar with three canals.

MANDIBULAR FIRST PREMOLAR WITH TWO CANALS [PDF]
Ustasalud 2003;1:51-53].

Dens invaginatus in first mandibular premolar
Dental Traumatology, 1994Abstract A case of dens invaginatus in a mandibular first premolar with periapical lesion is presented in which it was possible to perform non‐surgical endodontic therapy. Dens invaginatus is a developmental malformation of teeth which results from abnormal morphodifferentation.

Root canal configuration of the mandibular first premolar
Journal of Endodontics, 1992One hundred six human mandibular left and right first premolars, previously extracted due to nonrestorable caries, periodontal disease, or orthodontic reasons, were sectioned perpendicular to the long axis of the root starting at the cementoenamel junction.

Root canal morphology of mandibular first and second premolars
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1973Abstract A total of 1,393 first and 938 second mandibular premolars were radiographically examined and mechanically probed to determine the percentage of these teeth which had more than one root canal. A second or third canal existed in at least 23.1 per cent of the first mandibular premolars and in at least 12.1 per cent of the second mandibular ...

Mandibular first premolar apical morphology: A stereomicroscopic study
Australian Endodontic Journal, 2018AbstractThe aim of this study was to investigate the size, shape and position of the physiological foramen and the relationship between the age and gender to the location and size of the apical foramen of mandibular first premolars. One hundred and one extracted human mandibular first premolar teeth were examined; age and gender of the patients were ...

Mandibular first premolar with two roots and three canals
Australian Endodontic Journal, 2010AbstractThis case report presents a relatively uncommon clinical case of a mandibular premolar with two roots and three canals. The possibility of additional root canals should be considered even in teeth with a low frequency of abnormal root canal anatomy.

Preparation of the lingual canal in mandibular first premolar with canal bifurcation
Odontology, 2020The aim of this study was to establish an effective method of locating and negotiating the lingual canal in mandibular first premolars with two canals during root canal preparation. A total of 125 mandibular first premolars with radicular grooves were collected, and after micro-computed tomography scanning, 50 mandibular first premolars with a Vertucci

The aim in this study was to suggest a standard for early diagnosis of agenesis of the mandibular second premolars (L5) by estimating the developmental stages of the mandibular canines (L3), first premolars (L4), and second molars (L7).Among all 5136 pediatric patients aged 5-11 years who received panoramic radiographs between June 2008 and December ...
