ABSTRACT To investigate oral health in the fragmented human remains from the Punic necropolis of Monte Luna, Sardinia, and evaluate what dental pathologies reveal about lifeways and diet. Human remains from 227 individuals recovered from 70 tombs were analyzed, including 21 females, 16 males (> 15 years), and 59 non‐adults (1–15 years).

ABSTRACT The early evolutionary history of modern domestic horses (Equus caballus/Equus ferus caballus), known as the DOM2 lineage, is well documented due to numerous archaeological and ancient DNA (aDNA) studies. Although many uncertainties remain in the domestication timeline, current evidence suggests that the domestication of modern horses began in

Biology, ecology, and conservation of the Italian hare Lepus corsicanus: a review
The Italian hare Lepus corsicanus, an endemic lagomorph of Italy, serves as a critical case study in evolutionary biology and conservation. Once taxonomically debated, modern genetic and morphological analyses confirm its status as a distinct Pleistocene lineage restricted to the central‐southern Italian Peninsula and Sicily.

Endodontic Retreatment Of Mandibular Incisors With Root Canals Variations
Introduction: Mandibular incisors have been found to have a complex anatomy of the root canal system. Missed root canals are the most likely cause of treatment failure, and the persistent intra-radicular infections can lead to periapical lesion and ...

Peri‐apical masses were absent in both wild and semi‐wild Cape ground squirrels, despite dietary differences and minor incisor trauma. These findings suggest such lesions are rare outside captivity and not induced by low‐fiber diets alone, adding to the literature on environmental and dietary risk factors in elodont tooth pathology.

A New Model of Feeding Biomechanics Based on Tied‐Arch Principles
This new biomechanical model explains the major stress and strain patterns generated through the cranium during biting. The model proposes that the cranium resolves bite‐induced reaction forces through arcs of compressive stress that span the cranial structure between biting teeth and both jaw joints.

Bilateral fusion of mandibular primary teeth
The aim of the report was to highlight the rarity of occurrence of bilaterally fused mandibular primary lateral incisors and canines by virtue of the number of such cases reported in literature; to identify congenital absence of successor teeth;and to ...
