Comparative endocranial anatomy in the crocodylians Leidyosuchus canadensis and Stangerochampsa mccabei from the upper Cretaceous of Alberta, Canada

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
Leidyosuchus canadensis and Stangerochampsa mccabei share endocranial features such as posterior projection of a neurovascular canal in the maxilla and a paratympanic sinus system most similar to those of small‐bodied and young extant crocodylians, suggesting that these pedomorphic features may reflect the ancestral crocodylian condition.

Effects of Tongue Training Tasks on Intramuscular Activity Distribution: Evaluation Using Muscle Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging

open access: yesJournal of Oral Rehabilitation, EarlyView.
Patterns of muscle activity within the tongue vary by tongue resistance training direction. This finding will aid in designing more effective rehabilitation programs. ABSTRACT Background From the perspective of site specificity, inducing muscle activity across a large area of the tongue through diversified tongue resistance training (TRT) may be an ...

Peri‐implant tissue definition and registration with a 3D‐printed emergence profile former on titanium stock healing abutment: A dental technique and clinical report

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Recent focus has shifted toward refining the soft tissue emergence profile to enhance aesthetics, support peri‐implant health, and ensure long‐term success. Traditionally, titanium stock healing abutments or chairside‐customized abutments were used to shape peri‐implant tissues and develop the emergence profile for implant‐supported prostheses.

Implant stability quotient and osteogenic process in dental implant sites prepared using piezoelectric technique: A study in minipigs

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Few studies have explored the bone response in dental implant sites prepared using a piezoelectric device, indicating moderate effectiveness in enhancing secondary stability and osteogenesis. This study seeks to expand our understanding of the changes in biological, clinical, and radiographic parameters, during the initial phases of ...
