Renewal models for maneuvering targets

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1995
Most model-based tracking algorithms represent the temporal dynamics of a maneuver acceleration with a Markov process. The sample paths so generated may not be plausible. A renewal process model is shown to be more realistic, but a tracker based upon it is seen to be more complicated to implement.

Detection Of Maneuvering Target Tracks

SPIE Proceedings, 1985
This paper presents a new technique for the detection of moving target tracks, where those tracks are linear paths or segments of circles[1,2]. The images used as input represent a time-varying sequence of noisy satellite images of terrain and a moving target(s).

Robust Detection of Target Maneuvers

2006 9th International Conference on Information Fusion, 2006
This paper is concerned with the development of information processing for robust detection of target maneuvers. Indeed, the price to pay for having good performance for target maneuver detection is to accept that the event that a target maneuver will be falsely detected will be not so infrequent.

Image based maneuvering target tracking

Proceedings of the 1998 American Control Conference. ACC (IEEE Cat. No.98CH36207), 1998
This paper presents a new image based target tracking design. The state of the target is described in a hybrid state space where the dynamic of the target is indexed by a discrete variable mode or regime, each mode corresponding to a maneuver hypothesis.

The PMHT for maneuvering targets

Proceedings of the 1998 American Control Conference. ACC (IEEE Cat. No.98CH36207), 1998
Via the EM algorithm and a slight modification of the usual target-tracking assumptions, the probabilistic multi-hypothesis tracker (PMHT) of Streit and Luginbuhl (1995) combines data-association and filtering to a simple, elegant, and efficient iterative procedure.

Target maneuver detection algorithm

Proceedings of 2005 International Conference on Intelligent Sensing and Information Processing, 2005., 2005
Using bearings only information, passive target tracking in under water scenario can be carried out for a target moving at a constant velocity. If the target changes its course or speed or both, the estimated parameters differ with those of actuals. Hence it is usual to find out target maneuver, before the solution diverges completely and appropriately

Image based target maneuver detection

[1991] Proceedings of the 30th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002
A noncooperative target tracking application with a forward-looking infrared (FLIR) sensor is considered. Results are reported that demonstrate the feasibility under realistic conditions of target maneuver detection using a postprocessing of target attributes (e.g. the number of pixels or width) extracted from a sequence of FLIR images.

Target tracking for maneuvering reentry vehicles using multiple maneuvering models

Electronics and Communications in Japan (Part I: Communications), 2000
This paper proposes a nonlinear filter design algorithm using multiple maneuvering models for tracking of a maneuvering reentry vehicle (MaRV) from its radar measurements. This filtering algorithm is discussed in terms of the fundamental problems of modeling accuracy, tracking errors with other conventional methodologies.

Multisensor tracking of a maneuvering target using multiple maneuver model PDA

1996 IEEE/SICE/RSJ International Conference on Multisensor Fusion and Integration for Intelligent Systems (Cat. No.96TH8242), 2002
This paper presents a new method for multisensor tracking of a maneuvering target in dense environment. This is the extension and improvement of the conventional probabilistic data association (PDA). In addition to radar measurement, the use of accurate angle data from an infrared (IR) sensor is proposed to improve tracking performance, We propose IR ...

Parameter Estimation Algorithm Maneuvering Targets

IET International Radar Conference 2015, 2015
A novel method for parameter estimation of maneuvering targets is proposed in this paper to eliminate the influence of spectrum spread on image focusing. In this method, the received signal in a range cell is modelled as a multicomponent linear frequency modulated (LFM) signal after range compression and motion compensation, and then a new transform ...
