PoisonCatcher: Revealing and Identifying LDP Poisoning Attacks in IIoT [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Local Differential Privacy (LDP), a robust privacy-protection model, is widely adopted in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) due to its lightweight, decentralized, and scalable. However, its perturbation-based privacy-protection mechanism hinders distinguishing between any two data, thereby facilitating LDP poisoning attacks. The exposed physical-

Palynological Characterization and Taxonomic Delimitation of the Genus Impatiens L. in Pakistan: An LM and SEM Study

open access: yesMicroscopy Research and Technique, EarlyView.
The study identifies significant variations in features such as Muri and Lumina, as well as Exine thickness and Colpi length, which are critical for taxonomic delimitation within the genus. ABSTRACT Impatiens L. is a taxonomically complicated genus of flowering plants that entails extensive morphological studies to demarcate its taxa.

Utilization of Catla catla Fish Scale for Eliminating Cr (III) and Co (II) Heavy Metals From Wastewater

open access: yesNano Select, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract represents fish scales, a waste by product, were repurposed as a bio‐adsorbent for Cr(III) and Co(II) removal. The scales were washed, dried, and ground before being tested under varying concentrations. FTIR analysis showed changes in functional groups after adsorption, while SEM revealed metal ion attachment.

Atomically Precise Nanoclusters as Co‐Catalysts for Light‐Activated Microswimmer Motility

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
For the first time, atomically precise gold nanoclusters (AuNCs) are used as motility catalysts for active matter microswimmers. The nanoscale precision and controlled optical activity of AuNCs are leveraged, achieving a nearly fivefold increase in displacement under ultraviolet light compared to prototypical TiO2 microswimmers.

MXene‐Based Nanocomposites for Supercapacitors: Fundamentals and Applications

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
MXene‐based nanocomposites with 2D materials like transition metal oxides, transition metal chalcogenides, and layered double hydroxides improve supercapacitor performance. Here it reviews how these composites facilitate high capacitance, power density, and cycling stability, advancing next‐generation energy storage.

Generating Potent Poisons and Backdoors from Scratch with Guided Diffusion [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Modern neural networks are often trained on massive datasets that are web scraped with minimal human inspection. As a result of this insecure curation pipeline, an adversary can poison or backdoor the resulting model by uploading malicious data to the internet and waiting for a victim to scrape and train on it.
