Surface Nanostructures in Manganite Films [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2014
Ultrathin manganite films are widely used as active electrodes in organic spintronic devices. In this study, a scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) investigation with atomic resolution revealed previously unknown surface features consisting of small non-stoichiometric islands.

Resistive switching at manganite/manganite interfaces

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters, 2011
We report bipolar resistive switching between the interfaces of manganite nanocolumns. La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 films were prepared on Al2O3 substrates, where the films grow in nanocolumns from the substrate to the surface. Conductive atomic force microscopy directly detects that the resistive switching is located at the boundaries of the grains.

Orbital Hybridization and Magnetic Coupling at Cuprate–Manganite Interfaces Driven by Manganite Doping

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, 2020
Abstract Fundamental understanding of interface mechanisms that generate unexpected physical properties in the cuprate/manganite heterostructures is essential for possible applications as spintronic devices. Here, CaCuO 2 /La 1−

Temperature dependence of Gilbert damping in manganite/normal metal heterostructure

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2018
The temperature dependence of the spin-pumping effect on the Gilbert damping in a bilayer based on epitaxial manganite film grown on neodymium galate substrate was investigated by measuring of the linewidth of the ferromagnetic resonance spectrum (FMR ...

Seed layer technique for high quality epitaxial manganite films [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2016
We introduce an innovative approach to the simultaneous control of growth mode and magnetotransport properties of manganite thin films, based on an easy-to-implement film/substrate interface engineering.

Solitonic Phase in Manganites [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2005
Whenever a symmetry in the ground state of a system is broken, topological defects will exist. These defects are essential for understanding phase transitions in low dimensional systems[1]. Excitingly in some unique condensed matter systems the defects are also the low energy electric charge excitations.

Theory of manganite superlattices [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2008
A theoretical model is proposed for the (0,0,1) superlattice manganite system (LaMnO$_3$)$_n$(SrMnO$_3$)$_m$. The model includes the electron-electron, electron-phonon, and cooperative Jahn-Teller interactions. It is solved using a version of single-site the dynamical mean field approximation generalized to incorporate the cooperative Jahn-Teller ...
