Layer Stacking Dependent Suppression of Metallicity and Superconductivity in Sr2IrO4/YBa2Cu3O7 Bilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 24, December 22, 2025.
Multilayers of insulators with a strong spin‐orbit coupling, like Sr2IrO4, and high temperature superconductors, like YBa2Cu3O7, hold great promises for new device concepts in quantum computing. Here, it is shown that the electronic properties of such multilayers are strongly affected by the mutual stacking order.

Surface spin glass and exchange bias effect in Sm0.5Ca0.5MnO3 manganites nano particles

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2011
In this letter, we report that the charge/orbital order state of bulk antiferromagnetic Sm0.5Ca0.5MnO3 is suppressed and confirms the appearance of weak ferromagnetism below 65 K followed by a low temperature spin glass like transition at 41 K in its ...

Theory of magnetic phases of hexagonal rare earth manganites

open access: yes, 2006
The magnetic phases of hexagonal perovskites RMnO_3 (R=Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Sc, Y) are analysed using group theory and the Landau theory of phase transitions.

Nanoscale Friction of Manganite Superlattice Films Controlled by Layer Thickness and Fluorine Content

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 24, December 22, 2025.
Nanoscale friction in manganite superlattice films is probed by lateral force microscopy, revealing systematic effects of fluorine doping and top‐layer thickness. Friction coefficients are tuned through viscoelastic dissipation extending several nanometers below the surface.

On cooling the compounds of the form La1-xMxMnO3-y (where M is divalent cation) show a large decrease in resistivity associated with a paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition.

Structural and electromagnetic characteristics of perovskites in La1–c–xSrc+xMn1–xMe4+xO3 systems (Me=Ge, Ti)

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
Experimental data are shown for the influence of substituting quadrivalent ions on the concentration phase transitions “rhombohedral-orthorhombic structure” and “semiconductor-metal” in ceramic manganites of specifically designed system La3+1–c–xSr2+c ...

Magnetorresistência colossal em La5/8-yPr yCa3/8MnO3 Magnetoresistance in La5/8-yPr yCa3/8MnO3

Interactions Enhance Ramp Reversal Memory in Locally Phase Separated Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 21, December 17, 2025.
Ramp‐reversal memory (RRM) can be encoded in metal–insulator transition materials by repeatedly driving them partway through the transition. We develop an interacting model with quenched disorder and defect motion that reproduces experimental hysteresis and memory peaking at the inflection point, and predicts enhancement of memory with interactions. We

Electric-pulse-induced resistance switching effect in the bulk of La0.5Ca0.5MnO3 ceramics

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2014
In the majority of contributions, the electrical–pulse-induced resistance (EPIR) switching effect of perovskite manganites is thought to originate from the extrinsic interfacial Schottky barrier between the metal electrode and the surface of sample.
