Interfacial Atomic and Electronic Structures of LSM/YSZ Thin Films as Models for SOC Air Electrodes

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 6, 17 March 2026.
Lanthanum–strontium manganite/yttria‐stabilized zirconia thin films serve as model systems for solid oxide cell electrodes, where high‐resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy reveal atomistic interfacial features and electronic structure supported by atomistic modeling of these interfaces.

Double-exchange via degenerate orbitals

open access: yes, 1998
We consider the double-exchange for systems in which doped electrons occupy degenerate orbitals, treating the realistic situation with double degenerate $e_g$ orbitals.

Emergent Freestanding Complex Oxide Membranes for Multifunctional Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 16, 17 March 2026.
This review surveys freestanding oxide membranes and covers fabrication and three pathways for studies and devices: strain‐free and strained membranes, and van der Waals‐integrated heterostructures. We show how coupled oxide responses map onto these routes and cross‐couple to expand behaviors.

Dynamics of electronic phase separation at the laser-induced insulator-metal transition in (La_{0.6}Pr_{0.4})_{0.7}Ca_{0.3}MnO_{3}

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
Ultrafast optical excitations allow creating new metastable and hidden states in quantum materials. However, the fundamental material properties required to support new emergent order are largely unknown.

Critical properties of the double exchange ferromagnet Nd0.4Pb0.4MnO3

open access: yes, 2003
Results of a study of dc-magnetization M(T, H), performed on a Nd0.6Pb0.4MnO3 single crystal in the temperature range around T_C (Curie temperature) which embraces the critical region | epsilon | = |T -T_C |/T_C T_C and f_- for T< T_C.

High‐Efficiency CO2 Electrolysis Enabled by Interface‐Engineered Composite Electrolytes in Ni‐Based SOEC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 14, 9 March 2026.
This study addresses the critical issue of delamination between YSZ and GDC electrolytes in SOECs, which is caused by Thermal deformation disparity. A novel YSZ‐GDC composite interlayer, fabricated using a simple dip‐coating method, is introduced to solve this problem. This layer effectively suppresses delamination by mitigating thermal stress.

Dielectric behavior of La1-xCaxMnO3 (0.4 ≤ x ≤ 0.5)

open access: yesBoletín de la Sociedad Española de Cerámica y Vidrio, 2006
In this work the dielectric behavior of semiconducting La-manganites in an intermediate Ca-doping regime is studied. Ceramic samples were prepared by conventional solid-state reaction, using elemental oxides as starting reactants.

Combined Effect of Bond- and Potential-Disorder in Half-Doped Manganites

open access: yes, 2008
We analyze the effects of both bond- and potential-disorder in the vicinity of a first-order metal insulator transition in a two-band model for manganites using a real-space Monte Carlo method.
