From Natural to Human‐Dominated Seascapes: Habitat Loss for Guiana Dolphins Over Two Decades
ABSTRACT Changes in natural environments, such as coastal and marine zones, caused by human activities impact the quality of habitats and their inhabitants, ultimately jeopardising species conservation. As human activity is ever‐increasing, it is imperative to understand how multiple stressors, such as shipping, fisheries and pollution, affect marine ...

Urban–Wild Interface Diversity: A Comprehensive Checklist of Herpetofauna of Guayaquil, Ecuador
Amphibians and reptiles in Guayaquil comprise multiple taxonomic orders and occur across conservation areas, forest remnants, and urban parks, including several endemic species and numerous taxa with type localities in the city. Although most species are globally classified as Least Concern, discrepancies between global and national threat assessments ...

Climate and Land‐Use Change May Reshape the Biogeography of Freshwater Crabs Across China
We employed ensemble species distribution models to investigate how climate and land‐use change will impact habitat suitability for two freshwater crab families (Potamidae and Sesarmidae) across China. Temperature emerged as the dominant driver, with cropland and urban land having strong, family‐specific effects on suitability. Future scenarios predict

Seaward mangrove edge exhibited significant retreat after extreme disturbances. Rhizophora stylosa exhibited impaired regeneration and root damage in heavily disturbed areas, trait variation primarily responded to elevation and sediment properties, vegetation loss triggered subsidence, creating a positive biogeomorphic feedback loop.

This review reveals major genetic data gaps for Philippine mangrove fauna, especially invertebrates, limiting species‐level eDNA detection. By compiling 48 years of biodiversity records and assessing reference library coverage, it highlights the need for targeted sequencing and shows how integrating eDNA with conventional surveys strengthens monitoring
