Optimally Carbonized Mangrove Wood–Derived Hard Carbon with a Soft Carbon Coating for High‐Performance Sodium‐Ion Battery Anodes

ENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
High‐performance SIB anodes are developed using mangrove wood–derived hard carbon, optimized through controlled carbonization temperatures and pitch‐derived soft carbon coatings. The resulting PC‐10 composite achieves a superior reversible capacity of 297.5 mAh g−1 and an 82% ICE by suppressing irreversible reactions and enhancing interfacial stability

Daytime and nighttime air temperature (Ta) from automatic weather stations and land surface temperature (Ts) derived from ASTER and Landsat 8–9 are used to examine the relationship between Ta and Ts. Taxonomic reappraisal of the mangrove genus Avicennia (Acanthaceae) in India

A taxonomic reappraisal of the mangrove genus Avicennia in India was undertaken through extensive field surveys and critical examination of herbarium specimens. Three taxa, Avicennia alba, Avicennia marina subsp. marina, and Avicennia officinalis, are described in detail. A synonymic list was compiled using the World Checklist of Vascular Plants (WCVP)

Dicrananthera hedyotidea C. Presl. (Melastomataceae) in Maranhão state, Brazil: first record and ecological niche model of the species

Mangrove forests of India are globally unique with the highest record of biodiversity, gifted with the mangrove genetic paradise at Bhitarkanika, and the globally threatened wildlife species in the Sundarbans. The Sundarbans of India and Bangladesh is the only largest mangrove forest in the world colonized by the Royal Bengal Tigers.
