Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Conformally Flat Manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1972
This note describes some new examples of conformally flat manifolds, as a step toward a classification of such manifolds up to conformal equivalence.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Multiple Graph Regularized Concept Factorization With Adaptive Weights

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Many traditional concept factorization methods employ single graph to approximate the manifold structure of data. Therefore, they cannot capture the underlying geometric structure hidden in data effectively.

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Oka Manifolds

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2009
We give a positive answer to Gromov's question [Oka's principle for holomorphic sections of elliptic bundles, J. Amer. Math. Soc. 2 (1989) 851–897, 3.4.(D), p. 881]: If every holomorphic map from a compact convex set in a Euclidean space Cn to a certain complex manifold Y is a uniform limit of entire maps Cn→Y, then Y enjoys the parametric Oka property.

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Homologous expression and purification of human HAX‐1 for structural studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This research protocol provides detailed instructions for cloning, expressing, and purifying large quantities of the intrinsically disordered human HAX‐1 protein, N‐terminally fused to a cleavable superfolder GFP, from mammalian cells. HAX‐1 is predicted to undergo posttranslational modifications and to interact with membranes, various cellular ...

Sparse, Robust and Discriminative Representation by Supervised Regularized Auto-encoder

open access: yesInternational Journal of Information and Communication Technology Research, 2019
Recent researches have determined that regularized auto-encoders can provide a good representation of data which improves the performance of data classification.
