Twistor spaces for HKT manifolds [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We construct the twistor space associated with an HKT manifold, that is, a hyper-K\"ahler manifold with torsion, a type of geometry that arises as the target space geometry in two-dimensional sigma models with (4,0) supersymmetry.

Degeneracy and Complexity in Neuro-Behavioral Correlates of Team Coordination

open access: yesFrontiers in Human Neuroscience, 2020
Team coordination—members of a group acting together rather than performing specific actions individually—is essential for success in many real-world tasks such as military missions, sports, workplace, or school interactions.

Toric Vaisman Manifolds

open access: yes, 2016
Vaisman manifolds are strongly related to K\"ahler and Sasaki geometry. In this paper we introduce toric Vaisman structures and show that this relationship still holds in the toric context.

A geometrically bounding hyperbolic link complement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A finite-volume hyperbolic 3-manifold geometrically bounds if it is the geodesic boundary of a finite-volume hyperbolic 4-manifold. We construct here an example of non-compact, finite-volume hyperbolic 3-manifold that geometrically bounds. The 3-manifold

Design of Manifold with Pressure Controller for Automatic Exchange of Oxygen Gas Cylinders in Hospital

open access: yesTeknik, 2021
The regulation and supply of oxygen as one of the medical gases in the hospital is important to ensure the availability of these gases for the survival of patients.

Wall manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1979
In the calculation of the oriented cobordism ring, it is standard to consider so-called Wall manifolds, for which the first Stiefel-Whitney class is the reduction of an integral class. This paper studies the Wall-type structures in the equivariant case.

On groups Gnk and Γnk: A study of manifolds, dynamics, and invariants

open access: yesBulletin of Mathematical Sciences, 2021
Recently, the first named author defined a 2-parametric family of groups Gnk [V. O. Manturov, Non–reidemeister knot theory and its applications in dynamical systems, geometry and topology, preprint (2015), arXiv:1501.05208].

A decomposition theorem for projective manifolds with nef anticanonical bundle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Let X be a simply connected projective manifold with nef anticanonical bundle. We prove that X is a product of a rationally connected manifold and a manifold with trivial canonical bundle. As an application we describe the MRC fibration of any projective

On Almost-Fuchsian Manifolds

open access: yes, 2013
Almost-Fuchsian manifold is a class of complete hyperbolic three manifolds. Such a three-manifold is a quasi-Fuchsian manifold which contains a closed incompressible minimal surface with principal curvatures everywhere in the range of (-1, 1).

Interplay between circadian and other transcription factors—Implications for cycling transcriptome reprogramming

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This perspective highlights emerging insights into how the circadian transcription factor CLOCK:BMAL1 regulates chromatin architecture, cooperates with other transcription factors, and coordinates enhancer dynamics. We propose an updated framework for how circadian transcription factors operate within dynamic and multifactorial chromatin landscapes ...
