Cup‐Like Nuclei Is a Hallmark of DUX4/ERG Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and Reveals Cytoplasmic Mitochondria Accumulation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cup‐like nuclei are a distinctive morphological feature observed in certain cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). We provide evidence that they characterize DUX4/ERG ALL independently of IKZF1 deletion and reveal marked mitochondrial accumulation in this ALL subset.

Multi-Manifold Attention for Vision Transformers

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Vision Transformers are very popular nowadays due to their state-of-the-art performance in several computer vision tasks, such as image classification and action recognition. Although their performance has been greatly enhanced through highly descriptive

Recognizing manifolds among generalized manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1972
This paper provides various conditions, on the complement of a point in a generalized manifold M, which imply that M is a classical topological manifold. Similar characterizations are given for m-spheres and 3-cells. This paper announces a few results in the classic quest for a property which characterizes the topological manifolds among the ...

Genomic Diversity and Clinical Variability in Pediatric Primary Cutaneous Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma: A Case Series

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma (pcALCL) is a rare pediatric CD30‐positive T‐cell lymphoproliferative disorder with an excellent prognosis, but its genomic drivers are poorly defined. We report three children with skin‐limited disease demonstrating striking molecular heterogeneity, including NPM::ALK, NUP214::FRK, and a novel ...

Hegel, pensador de la escisión: "Principio de apercepción" como clave de lectura de la introducción a la "Fenomenología del espíritu

open access: yesSíntesis. Revista de Filosofía, 2022
The present article proposes a reading key to understand the structural role of knowing and truth, exposed by Hegel in the introduction of the Phenomenology of Spirit, starting from the Kantian principle of apperception and the notion of the manifold ...

The Combined Effect of Obesity and Contraceptive Use on Pulmonary Embolism in Adolescent Females Residing in the United States

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Combined oral contraceptive (COC) use in obese adult women dramatically increases the relative risk of developing a pulmonary embolism (PE). The risk of a PE in obese adolescent females taking contraceptives is currently unknown. The purpose of this investigation was to determine the effect of body mass index (BMI) and contraceptive

VEINROM: A possible solution for erroneous intravenous drug administration

open access: yesJournal of Anaesthesiology Clinical Pharmacology, 2014
Erroneous intravenous drug administration has a high probability of causing substantial financial consequences along with patient morbidity or mortality. Anesthesiologists and hospital administrators need to be cognizant of the problem.

Manifold optics

open access: yesOptics Letters
Transformation optics establishes an equivalence relationship between gradient media and curved space, unveiling intrinsic geometric properties of gradient media. However, this approach based on curved spaces is concentrated on two-dimensional manifolds, namely, curved surfaces.

The Relationship Between Physical Activity and Left Ventricular Remodeling in Childhood Cancer Survivors Treated With Anthracyclines: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Anthracycline‐related cardiac remodeling precedes heart failure in childhood cancer survivors. The objectives of this study were to determine the relationships between patient‐specific factors, moderate‐to‐vigorous physical activity (MVPA), and cardiac remodeling.

4 + n-dimensional water and waves on four and eleven-dimensional manifolds

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2018
In this paper, we consider the structure of water and waves from viewpoints of two observers, one on 4-dimensional manifold and the other on 11-dimensional manifold.
