Measurement and modeling of diffuse ultraviolet radiation: A review

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
Solar UV radiation consists of direct and diffuse UV components. The diffuse component contributes to the exposure received by humans and to the risk of skin cancer and sun‐related eye disorders. This review aims to determine future research directions for the measurement and modeling of diffuse solar UV radiation.

Depth of DNA photodamage in human corneas exposed to 222 nm or 254 nm UV

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, EarlyView.
Representative confocal 3D image of a section of a human cornea showing nuclei in blue (Hoechst 33342) and green, which was assigned to cells exhibiting Alexa555 conjugated to anti‐CPD antibody. The depth of photodamage was measured in Z‐stacks of the human corneal epithelium after exposure of the anterior surface to 50 or 100 mJ/cm2 at 222 or 254 nm ...

Another Differentiated Look at Emotions: A Replication Study on Associations Between Gaze Behavior During the Processing of Affective Videos and Emotional Granularity

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT People with high emotional granularity (EG; the capacity to differentiate among discrete emotional states) tend to employ more effective emotion regulation strategies during negative affective states. Recent eye‐tracking evidence suggests that EG is associated with the frequency of revisits to negative emotional stimuli.

Microstructured Tactile Sensors With Bismuth Telluride Coatings for Vibration Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 12, Issue 11, 8 June 2026.
The study reports a high‐performance piezoresistive vibration sensor (PVS) based on a Bi₀.5Sb₁.5Te3 functional layer on a PDMS microstructured substrate. The device exhibits high sensitivity (0.24 kPa−1), fast response, and excellent durability over 10 000 cycles.

Human-like motion generation for a virtual manikin

open access: yes, 2010
An algorithm for both the human-like motion generation and the joint torques computation for a virtual manikin is addressed in this paper. This goal has been achieved using some techniques derived from robotics.
