Glymphatic Dysfunction in Children With Type 2 and 3 Spinal Muscular Atrophy

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 8, August 2026.
This study reveals glymphatic dysfunction in children with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), characterized by increased cerebrospinal fluid volume and reduced ALPS index. These alterations correlate with clinical severity, identifying glymphatic dysfunction as a previously unrecognized feature of SMA pathophysiology.

Unraveling Spatiotemporal Heterogeneity and Driving Mechanism of Vegetation Recovery in Co‐Seismic Landslide Areas via Nonlinear Trajectories and Bayesian Networks

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
We developed an integrated GAM–Bayesian framework to diagnose the nonlinear recovery dynamics of vegetation in landslide‐affected areas. Our model reveals that most sites reached a key recovery inflection point within 5–7 years, with faster recovery occurring under warm, moist, and moderate light conditions.

Twenty‐Year Progress in Landscape Genetics of Tetrapods

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
Geographic distribution of tetrapod landscape genetics between 2003 and 2025. ABSTRACT Landscape genetics, an interdisciplinary field integrating population genetics, landscape ecology, and spatial analytical techniques, has progressed significantly over two decades, yet systematic reviews of its application to tetrapods remain limited. Here, we review

Tracing river dynamics: Multi‐temporal planform evolution and morphological change analyses in a meandering reach using high‐resolution satellite imagery and UAV data

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 51, Issue 8, August 2026.
High‐resolution satellite imagery and UAV data enabled detailed morphometric parameter calculation, meander classification and multi‐epoch change detection for the Atrak River's meandering channel. Our results reveal rapid, episodic migration and a nearly tenfold surge in bank erosion triggered by the 2019 extreme flood, with persistent instability at ...
